How To Resize Windows 7 Desktop Icons

I stumbled across a cool trick this morning while I was cleaning up my desktop. A cool way to resize the icons on your desktop in Windows 7. My desktop was so cluttered while I was moving icons around I noticed they had shrunk in size. I mistakenly was using the scroll button on my mouse when it happened. In order to resize the icons on your Windows 7 desktop do the following.

  • Click a blank section of your desktop. Then hold the Control Key down. While holding the Control Key down, start scrolling with the scroll wheel. Notice how the icons change size?

Pretty cool trick I would say. I don’t know about you but I just gained a lot of valuable desktop space back. :)
