You can use the server settings below to configure your 3rd party email client (e.g. Outlook Express). Step-by-step instructions are also provided below for iPhone/iPad - Android - Blackberry - Outlook 2007 - Outlook 2010 - Apple Mail - Windows Mail and Windows Live Mail.

iPhone / iPad
Setting up your Shaw webmail account to your iPhone/iPad is simple, just follow these short and simple steps.
- Touch the Settings icon on the Home screen,
- Select Mail, Contacts, Calendars
- Select Add Account
- Select Other
- Select Add Mail Account
- and enter your account information.
- Select Next
- Choose the POP account button
- Enter the following information in the spaces provided under Incoming Mail Server:
- Host Name: pop.shaw.ca
- User Name: Your Shaw email address without the @shaw.ca
- Password: Enter your email password.
- Enter the following information in the spaces provided under Outgoing Mail Server:
- Host Name: mail.shaw.ca
- User Name: Your Shaw email address without the @shaw.ca
- Password: Enter your email password.
- Click Save
- You will see a message: Cannot Connect Using SSL - select Yes
Android
Setting Up an Email Account
- Select the Application icon.
- Select Email icon.
- If this is your first email account you will be presented with an email setup screen. Otherwise, press the Menu button, and tap the Add Account button.
- In the Type your account email address box, enter your full email address.
- In the second box, enter your email account password.
- Select the Manual setup button.
- Choose the POP3 account button.
- Enter the following information in the spaces provided:
- Username: Enter your full email address.
- Password: Enter your email account password.
- POP server: pop.shaw.ca
- Port: 110
- Security type: None
- Select Next. The device will connect to the internet and check your incoming settings.
- On the Outgoing server settings screen, enter the following information in the spaces provided:
- SMTP server: mail.shaw.ca
- Port: 587
- Security:TLS (accept all certificates)
- Note: Ensure Port is still 587.
- Select Require sign-in checkbox.
- In the Username box, enter your full email address.
- In the Password box, enter your email account password.
- Select the Next button. The device will connect to the Internet and check your outgoing settings.
- On the Account options screen, select your Email checking frequency.
- Note: Changing frequency will impact battery life.
- Under Notify me when email arrives checkbox to see an alert on the status bar when you have new email.
- Name your account as desired.
- Enter your name as you want it displayed in email.
Blackberry
Follow these quick and easy steps to set up your Shaw webmail on your blackberry:
- Press/click the menu button, to pull up the expanded menu screen.
- Select Setup
- Choose E-mail Settings
- If you are asked, agree to the terms and service by selecting yes and I agree
- Log into your Blackberry Internet Services Account (version 5.0 or later)
- Select Add
- Select Other
- Enter the account name and password
- Select next and your account will begin to authenticate
- After authentication is complete, you will find the home screen mail icon will appear
Outlook 2007
- From the Tools menu, select Account Settings.
- Select New from the Email tab.
- Click Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP, and click Next.
- Select 'Manually configure server settings or additional server types' and click Next
- Select 'Internet Email' and click Next
- On the Add New Email Account window, fill in the following information, and click Next:
- Name: Fill in a name that you would like to appear on all outgoing messages.
- Email Address:e.g.
This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
- Account Type:POP3
- Incoming Mail Server:shawmail.ok.shawcable.net
- Outgoing Mail Server:shawmail.ok.shawcable.net
- Username: Enter the username you were provided when you signed up.
- Password: Enter the password you were provided when you signed up.
- Note: Make sure you do not check the Secure Password Authentication box.
- Click Next then Finished.
Apple Mail
- From the Mail menu, click Preferences.
- Click on the Accounts icon.
- At the bottom in the left hand corner of the 'Accounts' screen, click on the '+' icon
- From the Account Type dropdown, select Pop3 then fill in the following information:
- Description: e.g. Shaw Email
- Email Address: e.g.
This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
- Full Name: Fill in a name that you would like to appear on all outgoing messages.
- Incoming Mail Server:shawmail.ok.shawcable.net
- User Name: Enter the username you were provided when you signed up.
- Password: Enter the password you were provided when you signed up.
- From the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) dropdown, select Add Server.
- In the Outgoing Mail Server field, enter 'shawmail.ok.shawcable.net' and click OK (don't change any of the advanced settings).
- Click the red icon at the top left hand corner of 'Accounts' and click Save.
Windows Mail
- From the Tools menu, click Accounts.
- Click Add.
- Enter your Name as you would like it to appear on outgoing messages and click Next.
- Enter your Email Address then click Next.
- On the Set up Email Servers window, fill in the following information, and click Next:
- Incoming email server type:Pop3
- Incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP) server:shawmail.ok.shawcable.net
- Outgoing email server (SMTP) name:shawmail.ok.shawcable.net
- Note: Make sure you do not check the 'Outgoing server requires authentication' box.
- Enter you Email Address and Password and click Next and then Finished.
Windows Live Mail (Windows 7)
- Click on Add e-mail account
- On the e-mail account information window, fill in the following information:
- E-mail address: e.g.
This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
- Password: Enter the password you were provided when you signed up
- Display Name: Fill in a name that you would like to appear on all outgoing messages
- Make sure Manually configure server settings for e-mail account is checked
- Click Next
- On the e-mail server information window, fill in the following information:
- My incoming mail server is:Pop3
- Incoming server: shawmail.ok.shawcable.net
- Outgoing server: shawmail.ok.shawcable.net
- Click Next
Outlook 2010
- From the Tools menu, select File and then select Account Settings.
- Select New from the Email tab.
- Click Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP, and click Next.
- Select 'Manually configure server settings or additional server types' and click Next
- Select 'Internet Email' and click Next
- On the Add New Email Account window, fill in the following information, and click Next:
